My wife doesn't pay tax so has not used her ISA allowance, as she can get a (slightly) higher rate in a non-ISA account with the same bank.
As you are married yuo are allowed to transfer assets freely between you.0 -
I'm another with an offset mortgage (oneaccount, bobbing rastards) so no point in using an ISA.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0

Another vote for the missing offset mortgage option here.0

I also have an offset mortgage. I suppose the closest is that I don't have enough spare money, as all my spare money is in use in the offset account.0

You didnt ask on the ISA poll whether people didnt use an ISA because they need to be able to access savings and dont have enough spare cash to put away for an entire 12 months. thats why i havent used my ISA allowance for years now.

I didnt ask that because you dont need to lock money away in an isa - get an easy access one and you can put it in one day and take it out the next if you choose. Take a read of the top of this weeks email which explains it really simply (i think)
As for those with offsets - yes good point.Martin Lewis, Money Saving Expert.

That works if your wife is always going to be a non tax payer or the savings are (relatively) short term. Other people will need to consider stashing the cash away in their ISA for lower interest now, but longer term protection from the tax man!
I haven't used my allowance this year (first time since I opened an ISA in 2001) as I've spent the money instead!!0 -
As a non-taxpayer, and likely to remain that way, a cash ISA is pointless for me. Since none of the poll options cover that, I haven't voted.Eco Miser
