Hi, Its exciting isn't it :j
We have an allotment, so last weekend we planted broad beans and onions, we have two variaties of potatoes to chit to get ready for planting.
We also have strawberry plants from last year and also garlic previously planted.
We plan to do sweetcorn as well.
At home we have an half barrel where we are going to do mini veg, stumpy ball shaped carrots, raddish, spring onions - that sort of thing.
We did really well last year with Toms in growbags.0 -

Hiya, my Mother is a keen hobby gardener. She looks in the newspapers for free seeds and plants. Although often not truly free, having to pay P&P she has managed to cut her budgets by lots. The best places to look are the tabloid weekend papers. The Mail and Express have offers most weekends and the NOTW a little less often. You usually get lots of flower bulbs and a selection of seeds which they have usually over stocked with. sometimes you will also get tools or gloves as well.0

You could also put an add on freecycle if anyone is thinning out any of their plants they may be happy for you to collect or even help!0

Why don't you get tomato seeds from a tomato? Last year my uncle grew tomato plants from seeds taken from a tomato, and i grew peppers from the seeds from a pepper
