Starting new job ~ so nervous :(

It's only cleaning offices for 10 hours a week but I am unbelievably nervous
I start on Wednesday.
I haven't had a 'proper' job for 6 months. I've got a couple of private houses that I clean twice a week which I will keep. I haven't claimed any benefits or signed on to JSA.
I'm 50 and female and my confidence has gone and left me
I need to do this for my own self-esteem, to get back into the real world of work again and for a (minimum) wage.
I'm feeling definitely wobbly and the butterflies are kicking in.
Help, support and encouragement would be welcome

Everyone feels like this when they start a new job - try not to let it get to you too much!
Congratulations on getting the job offer, good luck and hope you enjoy your new job.0 -
Well done getting a job! They are far and few between at the moment, so well done you! First day's always nerve racking because it's the fear of the unknown, but I am sure you will be fine. And give yourself a pat on the back for getting back out there and not sitting at home moping. Good luck.0

Well done and all the very best for tomorrow

I know exactly how you feel as I was unable to work through illness for well over 3 years and was so very nervous when I returned to work part time. I'm in my mid 50's and like you had lost all my confidence but I'm doing okay.
After tomorrow you'll be able to breathe much easier and feel so very proud of yourself - good luck
