SVRs going up?

I am coming to the end of my tracker with Nat Counties BS. I have a choice of going to new tracker BoE +2.69% (
3 yrs) or discount on SVR(5 yrs, 4.69- 1.7% discount). I favour the discount. My only concern is that the SVR is changed without any change in Base rate. Their SVR is higher than Halifax (4.69 vs 3.5%) so i would not expect them to follow.

Anyone have any thoughts?

If you have equity I'd track the BofE and review in 3 years.

If National Counties have pressure on margins the SVR will be hammered.
