Offer to move pension

6.5% is a very generous rate..my trustees offer a rate based on the CPI of currently 3.6%..even with this much lower rate would it still be worth keeping the fund where it is rather than transfer it out..say to an enhanced annuity..0

It's actually 6.25% not 6.5% and that's only on the GMP of a hundred quid odd. Not to be sneezed at but not on the whole deferred pension. This is a legal requirement for Fixed rate GMPS, the %age depends on when you left.
The remainder will be increased by RPI or possibly CPI after 2010 capped at 5% pa.

ETA: I wouldn't touch that transfer value with a barge pole. Ludicrously low.It only takes one tree to make a thousand matches, it only takes one match to burn a thousand trees. As well, the cars are all passing me, bright lights are flashing me.
Johnny Was. Once.
Why did he think "systolic" ?0
