I just need to know for something I'm filling in. I know it must have been sometime in the 1990s (cos I remember where i was working when I heard it on the radio) but not what year. Before or after Dec 1994 would be enough info I don't need to know exactly.
Thanks.
Thanks.

It was first stated that pensions ages would be equalised at 65 in the November 1993 budget. The legislation was enacted in 1995 for phasing in from 2010-2020.0

There was also a good few years consultation and debate as well. So, the timescale would have gone back as far as 1990 if you include that as well as the budget announcement and then legislation being enactedI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
