Free (or at least cheap) PDF books for teenager

Going on holiday in a couple of weeks and would like to find some books for my daughter to read. She is borrowing my wife's netbook for this trip but if she "likes" electronic reading we will possibly get her a kindle. She is dyslexic but having "a proper book" in her hands has helped her immensley. The problem is that she may not handle electronic books well and hence dont want a huge outlay.
Anybody now the source of any free/cheap books (in PDF/Word format) that I can download for her to try ?

You can download 'Kindle for PC' on the amazon website.
You can then get lots of free books by clicking through to 'kindle books' then bestsellers (left hand side) then browsing the free books.
But reading on a laptop is a very different experience from reading on a kindle. I tried and failed to read anything comfortably for any length of time on my netbook, but I love my kindle.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
