Transfer Stocks and Shares ISA to Cash ISA

My Stocks and Shares ISA with Threadneedle, formally an Allied Dunbar PEP hasn't been performing too well. Is it possible to transfer this into a Cash ISA (ISA allowance unused) with say Nationwide?

No, you can transfer from cash to stocks and shares but not vice versa.

You can pick from 20,000 other investment options though.

  • Thanks for info. I guess I could cash in the Stocks and Shares and re-invest into a Cash ISA?

You could but you lose that ISA allowance if you do that.

Can you not move to different funds within your S&S ISA instead?

Surely you control the investments that you use and could just choose different investments?

Yes, subject to the limit of the annual allowance you could withdraw money from a S&S ISA and deposit into a cash ISA.
