Newbie Looking for Support

Hi There,

I've just signed up today and really wished I came across this site a week ago.

I'm in debt.

There I've said it. I'm having panick attacks and sleepless nights - oh joy!
I embraced all my debt and phoned a debt management company and now I've entered into an IPP - Informal Payment plan.

Not sure what happens from here apart from I feel like such an idiot for getting myself into this position in the first place. Not to mention the stress on my boyfriend.

I'm not quite sure how this forum works (haven't had chance to read all the new joiners bits yet because I'm trying to do my work at the same time!)

    Hi and welcome :hello:

A SoA is always a good place to start to see where savings can be made in your outgoings. I have to say I've never heard of an Informal Payment Plan - the normal phrase is Debt Management Plan, so check out with the organisation you went through exactly what this is!

Good luck on your DFW journey, and don't worry, you've made a huge step in the right direction by joining up here!

    Very far from home indeed!

Thanks for the hint of Payplan - yourclear basically say the same thing, that they charge the creditors etc but will give payplan a call tonight.

Right, SoA - I'll get started on that and post it just now.

  • Hi there Liewe Heksie
Just looked on yourclear website,it looks as though they don't charge, but beware as they say that you 'could' be charged,I would say forget them and call Payplan or CCCS before you pay anything out call them.
    Good luck
