  • *Bump*, Anyone to help the OP, and also my quick question, I know it may seem silly but I just don't know. Thanks in advance :-)

Hi - I would imagine the OP may have received PM's after request and possibly being helped privately. There will be a solution once someone gathers more information.

Assj - may be easier to start your own thread with a little more information and sure we can offer advice. Late payments are not the end of the world, so long as they are not all very recently.

Obviously finding a decent broker in these situations is the challenge but getting the credit reports is a first big step and crucial. It may be that you have to be really good for 6 months then apply.

Additionally, Halifax will not credit score you again if you do a product transfer with them - rates are not market leading but depending on LTV some are ok...

    Good luck

Just a quick update I got on to British Gas and and sent a few emails asking /pleading them to remove the 2 small defaults as i had read on the net that if they amount to less than £500 it was possible.

I got a reply stating "The arrangement that I've done which I mentioned in my previous email is to delete the default from your Credit report"

Now after a wait for confirmation that they would be removed they have come back saying "Unfortunately we can't remove any information we send to Experian and I'm sorry about this."

Anyone have any advice on how i should respond?

BG are under no obligation to withdraw the notice. As the circumstances surrounding non payment are of no interest.

Reasonable to assume they encounter this problem all the time. So now pro actively register defaults.

I understand that but does the fact that they told me they were going to delete it mean nothing?
