Staying with sister in the Big Smoke next Weeked and want to take her and her two girls (13 and 15) out for a good meal that that will be a fun experience for them. Sis has gone through hard times and is a single parent so want to cheer them up. Any thoughts welcome!

Pizza express is good for kids and you can often get a voucher that does 2-4-1 on the pizzas :)

Another vote for Nando's - my 12yo loves it, and is starting to get more adventurous with the heat...
And one for Little Wing. It's the closest I've seen to an Italian attitude towards pizza, in Belfast. I think the branches in the Newtownards road or Lisburn road are a bit roomier than the central one, however.

Kids love TGI Fridays, the Belfast branch is family-friendly.

Girls of that age will probably love victoria square. There are some great ideas above- I have eaten in all and agree they are all good choices. The thing with going into victoria square is they could take a walk round the shops or go to the cinema while you grab a coffee or drink after the meal??

Hope you have a lovely time where-ever you end up!!

If you could travel just outside Belfast to Lisburn for a treat? In the omniplex you have Eds bar and grill - lovely food all fresh, great staff and family focused with tvs, dvds etc at the table and ds games to play (although perhaps the kids a bit older for that) They also do great offers - before 7pm you get a free starter and desert for any main meal over £9.99 (which is the majority of them) and 2 for 1 on cocktails. Easily have a good night out without blowing the bank! If you have facebook look them up as they also do offers for facebook fans only all the time!
Life is what you make it.
