Curry_Queen wrote:This is my major downfall and something I know I should sort out. I drink on average 8-10 cups of coffee during a morning while doing my online stuff and I often end up with the shakes/irritability by lunchtime. I've tried cutting back or using decaff but I end up with a huge headache, presumably from caffeine withdrawal
I have the same problem and would love to give up my coffee, but I do love the taste and can't find a decaff that tastes like coffee.
I've noticed a change in my toddler since eatings less processed food. If she has something now that has additives she can get very hyper and worse still, aggressive. I find squash is a major problem, when at toddlers for instance. At home she only has water. i also read the other day about how bad fizzy drinks are for children, not just because of the sugar, but because of the phosphoric acid. apparently the body neutralises the acid by drawing on calcium reserves and can lead to osteporosis. So now no more fizzy for my older ones, or as an occasional treat.0 -
by the way Curryqueen, well done to your son for his excellent report. It's a real pleasure when they start to do well.0

CurryQueen, the non stop visits to the lavatory because of all the caffeine was definitely affecting my work performance as well..'Mr Allegro has just left the room for a moment, could you call back later...' etc.'Never keep up with Joneses. Well my bathroom is only a few yards away, but yeah, I'm also a frequent visitor during the mornings ... no wonder we get through a lot of loo roll too :rolleyes:foreverskint wrote:by the way Curryqueen, well done to your son for his excellent report. Thanks hun! ... I'm really pleased with the way he's starting to settle down, and now I think about it, he's much better with his homework too and I haven't had to nag him half as much
He's not a bad kid but he is easily distracted (wonder where he gets that from) so it makes a change to get such a glowing report
