Guys, apologies if this should be posted elsewhere but I figured it's more relevant to people in Northern Ireland......if not, please shift it across.
All you Aerosmith fans out there will be aware that the band are playing Marley Park at the end of June. This concert is likely to sell out pretty quickly once tickets go on sale on Friday morning. If you go through Aeroforce One (official fan club) you'll be able to get the pre-sale tickets as part of a package at 1000hrs EST today (by my working that's 1500hrs GMT).
The ticket will cost a little more but you get access to the venue early and a funky little lanyard thingy to remember the gig by. If you go for the premium package you get all manner of merchandise, including limited edition stuff. All you need to do is join up and book your tickets.
Just in case anyone out there is looking to make a fast profit, these tickets are not posted out and need to be collected on the day from the Aeroforce One booth and will only be released to the member, so you'll find it rather difficult to flog them on EBay.
Enjoy!:T

Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"

oh my god...thank you!!!!!
I have been going insane trying to find a present for my hubbies 30th birthday in march...and this is it!!we both love aerosmith (our wedding song was dont wanna miss a thing, lol) and honnestly this is just perfect!
Im abit scared about buying the tickets from the website though,i know its official but its the dollar thing that gets me-any help to clarify would be much appreciated!
I had a look and ticketmaster are selling them from friday but am i right in thinking that since the dollar:pound is strong at the min,the official website tickets with all the nice little extras would perhaps work out cheaper??
Sorry if this sounds silly but my mum has offered me her credit card to use to book the american tickets asap but id be more inclined to wait to see what ticketmaster has to offer!!
thank you so much again for posting this because i had resigned myself to accepting i wouldnt see aerosmith until i was too old to REALLY appreciate it!!-of corse i mean my hubby aswell (im possibly slightly the bigger fan!)
thank you!Laura.it takes more energy

Sorry for taking so long to get back.......
I think the presale tickets at $119 work out at about £80 or the pack at $209 works out at £108 ish (using https://www.xe.com for conversion). The tickets from Ticketmaster are about £47 once converted to sterling.
On the face of it, the presale tickets are more expensive, but you get priority access and can buy them before the rush. The top of the line package has quite a decent amount of stuff for the extra £30ish as well, t-shirts and pins and the like. To be honest, I'd be the sort of person just to sit and make sure I was on the site at 0900 tomorrow and get the cheaper ones.......Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. woooohooooooo!
bought the two tickets this morning from ticketmaster-curse their 'transaction must be completed within 3mins' policy....thats not an easy task with three young kids runnung around you at 9am! i kept taking too long to enter the card details and it put me right back to the start each time so naturally i assumed 11,999 other aerosmith fans where typing much faster than me and i wouldnt get any, lol.
cant wait.....not just have to arrange a hotel(any ideas??) arrange the train tickets(last time i went i was a childs fare!) and keep it a SECRET until 2nd march lol.
Thanks again robothell-enjoy the concert if you go yourself!

Hmmmm......Dublin's pretty pricey for a hotel room, even the budget places. I suggest you try looking at Jury's site, Expedia and the Discover Ireland / Bord Failte site to get any deals going. Any Jury's place I've stayed in was lovely, but the best by far was a place called the Clarion IFSC (near the Bus station and docks with a view over the Liffey). They quote their overnight rate at E 260 but I think I paid just over £70 for the room last summer on deal.Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? I don't know where Marlay Park is but I have stayed at Travellodge at Castleknock & Swords. It is good value clean & comfy but no bar! or breakfast included. https://www.travellodge.co.uk for details
There are also loads of B&B's try https://www.discoverireland.ie
Have a good time anyhow!!Dave0 -
IMI residence is the nearest hotel to marlay park. stayed there when basement jaxx played marley park in 2005. Not a bad wee place, and you can walk to marley park (~45 mins to 1 hr, if with a bird in high heels) as getting a taxi home proved impossible!if i had known then what i know now0
