More chance of being accepted with own Bank?

Hi

I am new to these boards. I usually lurk on the debt free wanabee boards but unfortunately I am now in a position where I need to get a short term loan.

I need to borrow £10,000 for home improvements. I currently owe about £4000 on credit cards and have about £1000 left to pay on a loan that is finishing in Sept of this year. I also have an overdraft of £2000!

My question is am I better of applying for a loan with my own bank (Natwest) or waiting until payday and applying for a loan elsewhere where I would not have to declare my overdraft.

My credit rating should be good now as all payments are made on time and I am not up to my limit on any cards/loans/overdrafts.

My salary allows me easily to make these payments I am just worried that I will be turned down.

Does anyone have any suggestions, I would be very grateful and I could get a good night sleep tonight.

Thanks in advnace

I am with one of the big banks. With my bank it tells me on online banking how much I can borrow and at what rate and I can apply online and get the money in my account in 3 hours.

I can only assume Natwest has somthing similar.
