Well, I impressed them!!

I had an interview earlier in the week, and whilst I didn't get it by a whisker, I impressed them so much that if any staff member is ill, off etc, I will be covering them!

I've had 16 hours this week (need to sign off - today, was a morning booking so didn't have time to do it, not realizing at the time it would be 16 hours)
..... and around 30 hours next week!!

Hope this continues and I get regular work from them :D

Now, as I need to sign-off for at least 2 weeks, what is the time limit on being able to make a rapid reclaim? Any other advice in this area would also be advisable - JSA et al, all confuses me!!

Excellent. Ignore all the morons on this board such as falko89 and Arg who think you're stupid for working for no more than you'd get on JSA.

    Thanks very much.

And I always ignore those kind of comments - I get little JSA as it is, so me working is more beneficial. I can work an 8 hour day at NMW and earn more than I do on JSA in a week.

However, as this is cover work I will get paid more than NMW :D

Would you go away and boil your head please!! Did I say that no I didn't.

AFAIK you only have something like 2 weeks for a reclaim then your wiped of the books and have to go through the entire process again.

You don't know very much then do you? It is within 26 weeks for a rapid reclaim. It is astonishing how many people on these boards are happy to chip in with their misinformed "facts". If you don't know the answer then you shouldn't tell people anything.

Ok then I was wrong, The last time I was unemployed many year ago I got work for a month, I had to sign of etc, when I went to sign on again I had to go through the entire process again, it was a month before I got any money again, so the process has obviously changed.

I have no idea about JSA but try to check fact before posting if my known info on an employment subject is very old. This is for my own benifit as well you never know when info will be handy and practicing finding information for others makes you faster when you need information for yourself.

    Google : JSA rapid reclaim

Funny how things have a habit of doing that -OP was asking about "Rapid reclaim" perhaps you missed that bit or didn't realise it's a new process.

Well done OP -hope it works out really well for you.
