Freddiesmum he will never own up to having a drink problem. He won't be able to see it drinking will come naturally. Yes everything will be yours or DS problem or even the dogs animals etc it was the same in my house with ex HH horrible hubby.
Is he nice as pie when he's sober ?
Wont tell you what i put up with but it's not nice. Pm me if you like.
Please dont put up with it for a long while like i did he wont change. My ex an alcoholic now and i have nothing to do with him.
I thought i would not be able to cope on my own and that it was all my fault he drank told lies and we never had any money even tho i worked 12 hour days
When he came home and said he had something to tell me and had lost his job that was the final straw i plucked up courage from somewhere and told him i had something to tell him and he could get out .:) Give him a week to go. He went with no arguments and it was the best thing i ever did.
I did struggle at begining because i was left with money worries bills not paid when i thought they had i had given him money to pay them
Had to pack in my well earned job to look after DS but it was all worth it. OMG i am sat here thinking well done gal.
I sorted money worries out got divorced and have never looked back. Hope i not wrote TMI sorry guys and Gals if i have.
Big hug freddies mum i know you need one. Chin up gal
Good for you Tweets. I put up with an alcoholic (who wouldn't admit he had a problem) for 12 years before I finally couldn't stand any more.
Freddiesmum, Tweets is right.....until your OH admits he has a problem, he's not going to change.....and of course it's far easier to blame everyone else for their problems rather than take responsibility for their behaviour.
My ex wasn't physically abusive, but drink came before everything. Every night he went to the pub. Rare family days out with the girls had to involve a pub, holidays abroad meant me on the beach, in the pool, or in bed with the children while he propped up the bar. He even left me alone with a newborn baby a couple of hours after I came out of hospital to go to the pub.
We had settees set alight when he fell asleep drunk with a cigarette in his hand.....and me and his children asleep upstairs.
Peeing the bed was a common occurence as was peeing on the childrens toys. Absolutely revolting.
The final straw was when I went out on a works do much to his disgust as it meant he had to stay in. This was before the days of mobile phones so I no way of being contacted
I got home to find the house was empty. He'd drunk himself into a stupor and my eldest daughter who was 10 at the time couldn't rouse him so she carried my younger daughter who was just 18 months old to my mums....a 15 minute walk away....in their nighties at 9 oclock at night.
He knew I would go ballistic so the coward had gone home to mummy's rather than face me.
It probably was a good thing he'd gone.....I think I would have killed him if he's been there.
But that was it....he knew I'd never have him back after that.
After we divorced he used to see the girls on a weekend....until he took them to the pub one sunday (surprise surprise) and forgot he had them and went home, leaving them behind.
I told him that under no circumstances was he to take them anywhere he was drinking ever again. He never asked to see his younger daughter since. Has never sent her so much as a birthday or Christmas card. Didn't pay maintenance, even though he had a succesful business. He now see's his eldest, but wouldn't know our youngest daughter if he passed her in the street.
Think very carefully Freddiesmum if you want to stay with someone with a serious drink problem.
I look back and think of the years I wasted, thinking he would change.....:(
Saying all that, I've been married to a really lovely second hubby for 15 years who is the complete opposite of the first one!My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
Actually at the rate that petrol is going up by its going to be better value to do an online shop (rather than drivng to Tescos and back) and pay £3 to £6 for delivery or whatever it is now eg when there is a wine festival and you can get a good enough JTD voucher or when the cat food goes very cheap. Or if you have a code for £10 off or suchlike.Right, I'm off to return my T's sale purchases from during the week (3 different receipts from 2 different stores!) and put the stuff I'm keeping away, then and only then can I let today's purchases out of their bags, it would all get FAR too confusing otherwise!!
I was  the other day when I filled up my 206 (the light had been on for about 5-10 miles) and it actually hit the £60 mark! I mean, I SHOULDN'T be surprised, each time I do a complete tank-fill I've noticed it slowly creeping up the 50s but £60?!!! AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Hiya! I got a load of stuff in the £1 sale today, mostly for DD. They had no boys clothes at all
so DS had to do wth a sweetie
Tried WHS again but apparantly their tills were down and couldn'y do giftcards, phone top-ups etc.
Went to Boots to pick up some clothes I'd ordered from recent glitch and to get the Clairol conditioner and got trouted! SA wouldn't let me get the conditioners as the voucher stated one per purchase. I asked her to put them through seperately to which she said ' I've already rung them up now, I can't void the sale' I asked what she would do if I walked off and didn't buy the stuff and she replied 'Void the sale'!! She ended up getting a manager because she was getting so worked up about it. Manager couldn't have been nicer and put it all through. I also got ticket from ACM for the £2 off mascara. Quite successful with 7 conditioners and a mascara. Total to pay - £0.00Didn't get any of the Sanctuary stuff though as they didn't have any of the free gifts.
