No Hotel Chocolate stores near me so haven't been tempted; no 1p chocs to be found in Dumfr13s; Bayliss & Harding scan at full price; SA put the knives through correctly so they didn't count towards my overall spend
BUT, I managed to get 2 carbon monoxide detectors for 40p each, a coat reduced from £40 to £5 and a kiddyzoom videocamera and managed to spend my £9 off £60 wombled MOC so not a bad day afterall :j:j:j0 -
good morning everyone, off to T's soon to see if i can get some reduced toys for DS birthday. will obviously let you lot know what i find when i get back:D0

Good morning!
Well i havent been on here for 9 days. Too much to catch up on.
All settled in new house. Visited my new local last night, which has no scanners. But i did get 148 purple ones through self service no problems. Took a while but no one batted an eyelid! Off to have a skim read.
Oh, store had all christmas bits in foyer and were selling them cheapish with money going to local hospice. Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.0 -

I tried quite a few times last night and just kept getting the little egg. Have just gone on this morning and first attempt was an egg selector (think it is a box of 6 little eggs?), so may be worth keeping at it?0 -
Does anyone know how to find out where new Tesco's are opening?
I know we have one opening in the new Travelodge in Camberley (an express I think) but I have heard rumours that a new one is opening less than 5 mins wal from me (that includes crossing a busy road!). Not sure if I want it or not - could be time consuming :rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Just want to repeat everyone's thanks for OP on the Hotel Chocolat comp - brilliant fun and it is a really good excuse to head into town for this, and to catch up on some other bits and pieces that I have been meaning to get around to. I think I have won a box of chocs (earmarked as an Easter gift) and a thick egg (which looks gorgeous and is for my dad
) as well as a couple of the smaller things (selector, bunny and egglet basket). So big thanks to Cosmic-Dust and so far this totally gets my vote for the starter of the next thread (yes, won't be long) because it has not only been very MSE and saved money but lots of fun too. :T

Just back from my wombling expedition. When I arrived at Mr A at 6.20am I was disappointed to see 2 attendants out in the car park picking up rubbish. I found a few receipts though and have just input them with results on 2 of them - £2.66 on one receipt and £1.93 on another. I popped into the store and bought milk and Innocent juice which are both on offer and used a wombled receipt from a couple of weeks ago. You can't beat free shopping.
Mr T's car park was clean except for takeaway rubbish.
I managed to use 2 of the price flop vouchers against the lurpak and 2 against cakes. I also bought 2 lots of Ariel Gel (the 16 wash size) which is on offer at £3 and the till accepted 4 coupons against them meaning they cost £1 each. I used the coupons off Mission Control and the others from SSM Olympic offers. Link below for anyone who missed them. I also got 2 lots of Flash wipes (48 pack size) which are £1 ie free with the coupons.

Hope this makes sense as I'm in a rush (I've got a 9am hair appointment).
Will try and catch up this evening.0 -
That made me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
We will never learn on here good job you are around :A
Swapping stuff is good - the HC glitch shows how much joy can be shared by good folk. Peeps generosity has been a very warming thing to see. But it needs to be subterranean as MSE rules cannot allow or be seen to be condoning or encouraging the swapping of personal details.
But a covert approach usually works. If someone were to post, eg, "oh what a shame I have an xyz that is no use to me" and no more on the forum, then what happens next is up to each individual and would not be "sponsored" by MSE.
I think that would be OK and would allow the joy and goodwill to continue to find its rightful homes?0 -
Morning all i have finally caught up before i go to mums.
I felt tired all day yesterday was glad of the two and half hour lay in today.
