    Hi guys

Just got back from a few days away, what exciting things have I missed?
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. :)

I had a letter today saying my tax code is going from 357L to 810L whatever that means :)

Means that the amount you can earn tax free is increasing from £3575 to £8105 per year

well my first job when i was 16 so 6 years ago now i was paying emergency tax because i didnt have a NI number but i never got that paid back to me which i thought i was suppose to, i just dont want them telling me i have to pay back £300 then expecting it that week or somehing when i only get £500 a month as it is.

the rebate you got back was probably for the drop in salary from going on maternity. If you think that they do still owe you money from earlier years then ring HMRC 0845 300 0627. Or if you know where your local tax office is try and get an appointment.

Arghh just had a phone call from the docs it would seem me popping in about my back has triggered a recall for blood tests from 2008 - I feel well in myself apart from my back but I remember them testing me for a few things and had to go back every month for about 5 months for blood tests as I felt better and I never got any results back I thought all was well - so now I am trying not to worry that there is and hope they are just tying up loose ends

I think they try to do blood tests fairly regularly. They have to catch me first, went recently and they did blood tests and were amazed they hadn't managed to take any in the last 20+ years, said it would normally be more regular than that.

Thanks - I have been racking my brain as to why they did them back in 2008 but I am at that age where my memory isn't as good as it used to be, I can vaguely remember them saying something was high and if it is high it can indicate poor immunity for something but they were speaking in medical lingo so it went over the top of my head (easy to do) - lol

is anyone else having problems getting the Hotel Chocolat vouchers through an AOL email account?
Ive tried 4 different AOL emails, and the vouchers havent come through, Ive done it on my googlemail account and its fine..

    Anyone else having this problem??

I'm just reading through and hope you've got the emails already, but if not...
Have you checked your settings? I found that all the new accounts I set up for my ahem, friends during dtd last year automatically had the box ticked that said don't accept emails with pictures (or something to that effect)and also maybe don't accept attachments. Maybe you have the same thing, because the one I got sent to my normal aol account came through fine.

    It's only a game

oooooo was it? Has anyone been to the Titanic exhibition at the O2? Talk about fascinating!
we did when it was there. we even touched a piece of it. and when we were given our boarding pass, we checked on the board and i, survived,:T but my son perished :(. there were times when i had to blink back my tears, so emotional and so many human storys. it was one of the very few times my son was quiet.

sorry this is not in the right place but i am catching up.
