Evening guys - it's been another chilly day here :(

Alan is still very tired and is napping lots during the day, just getting up for breakfast, lunch, dinner and his evening tablets with possibly a little supper. He hasn't been eating much as little appetite but fancied fish and chips so I went into town and got some for tea - we had a portion of cod and chips between us and we both enjoyed them :D

I dropped the letter from the hospital into the doctor's this morning as I realised I hadn't done it yet :o And I called into the auction, where everyone was very upset about what they'd heard :( Anyway, I spoke to a friend who is going to meet me on Friday at the car boot and he will take some of the boxes of stuff our lovely friends helped me sort, into the auction for the Saturday sale and will take more in next week, so that is another thing getting done :j :j

Alan's stoma nurse Gill came this morning too and she was delighted at his progress. The trainee nurse she brought with her changed the bag and the drain bag too, and Gill talked me through it as, although I am doing this, I haven't been shown what to do. I just know from reading the booklet they gave us. Anyway, she feels a 2-piece bag will be better for him as it is concave to fit better where the stoma is and comes with loops and a belt, which takes the weight of the bag as Alan says he can feel it 'dragging' all the time. I also asked about the two sprays for removing the flanges and for cleaning skin and she is ordering them, plus 2 boxes of these new bags, which should be with us tomorrow or Friday :D and then we wil see her in 2 weeks time

Also, I rang the Macmillan advisor to let her know that Alan's DLA form had arrived and that his consultant is on holiday next week so the DLA special rules form she has requested from him may take longer to come. She checked her diary and made an appointment for us to see her in Wisbech on Friday 30th March, so that is moving forward as well :j :j

I was going to go to Mr T today, but Alan says he panics when I am out and he is up and awake, so, as I'd been out twice today for 1 hour at a time, I said I'd leave shopping until tomorrow, when he is napping ;)

    Good morning everyone.

My mum has her CT Scan today and then will have an appointment with a consultant at a later date to discuss the results. :(

Hope you all have a good day. xx

Good luck for the results hun :)

Hi Tricia, did you try the nappies with the vouchers, were they any good? Also just a thought if you have not already used them wonder if you could buy something like the Rustlers buy one get one free and use 2 vouchers, then take them to the CS desk and ask if you can exchange for some nappies. Might be worth a try.

    hello :D

i just realised i still have one of the nappy ones you sent me left and money on my boots card so can get them free if i go there tomorrow

so wow you saved my bacon lol thank you for sending them :D
used rustlers ones other day bf had major cravings for burgers so sen him out with a load of them

but yay nappies tomorrow. wow they are expensive without the £4 off coupon though couldnt believe £6 something for 18 nappies :O

    £2 somethin for 18 is a bargain though :D x

just sent oh back in for nappies lol he was just getting in car as I sent him for the other lego set

hahaha, i'm just considering sending my DH down for nappies & lego too!

Just looked up those lego sets and the pirates set or the alien set would be ideal. How much are they scanning at now? I did see them in the clearance bit a while ago but they hadnt been reduced by much then

Great!!! Glad they were ok and you can sort something out tomorrow without costing anything. Hope the pampers glitch lasts long enough for you to be able to get some.
