    evening everyone :):)

Quick question. Why when you all buy things that are just 1p do you rush to get them through the tills/

is it not allowed or something, and if its not allowed how come some of you get like 40 through a manned till without them noticing

    TIA
You can't make someone love you. All you can do is
stalk them & hope they panic & give in

  • Why is it.. when you have a really good day, someone just has to ruin it....:(

The girl I fell out with (the one I used to go to playgroup with) text me.

Basically we fell out as my DS is 9 months older than hers, my DS was going through a phase of saying "go away" picked up probably from our house, however whenever he says it (rarely does now) we would tell him off and explain its not kind.

He kept telling the other little boy to go away when we went to her house, not all the time but a few times this happend. I told him off and sometimes we left as he wouldnt stop and he had been warned...

Anyway everything was fine with my friend and I and there was no issues until the last time we saw eachother in person - she was really rude to me, accused my DS of bullying her DS - which my son hasn't done at all - he told him to go away, and showed an interest in his toys, and did a bit of normal 2 year old snatching, arguing etc..... not once did he hit him or scream in his face etc or did anything physcial happen...

Anyway my friend didn't want her DS to go to the playgroup as my DS had supposedly been bullying her DS (even though the playgroup is sooo busy they never see eachother anyway) But my friend is very, if your child doesnt want to do something you should never make them (eg: he doesnt want to sit in the pushchair they won't go out) - I am not so much like this, at the end of the day, if we run out of milk and need some, I have to go out as OH works late and can't go after work.... Anyway she was !!!!!y this whole day to me and I left thinking, I never want to see you again, how dare you insult my son infront of him... Not good for any childs confidence, and I was totally disgusted by her.

Spoken to here a couple of times about her DS's bday party, which I had no intention of going to after her behaviour and attitude... I deleted her after 6 wks of not speaking last night on facebook. This evening I recieve this text:

My 'friend': Helen, I dont know what i ever did for you to suddenly stop contact with me. I invited you to *** bday party and you said you were coming, then I confirmed the dates to which you said you had made plans which I thought was a bit off but didnt say anything. Then I dont hear anything from you and now I see you have deleted me off facebook?! Would be nice to know why:

Me: Hi, was nothing to do with *** birthday party. I was offended by what you said about freddie when I last saw you. You basically accused him of being a bully towards your son and implied he was really badly behaved. Most children do push the boundries at times, it would be odd if they didn't - and when freddie does, I tell him off and he has to sit on the naughty step for 2mins to think about what hes done and calm down before he apologises - but doing this is not always that easy at someone elses house. It was just strange of you to try and upset me like that, especially as whenever *** didn't enjoy playgroup/would squeal and cry when we were there/wouldnt sit in his buggy, I never commented on his behaviour, as it was not my place, or anyone elses but yours, to say anything. Don't get me wrong, freddie is no angel, but he is my son & I love him. I wouldnt want anyone to speak so negatively of freddie or any other child as I don't think it is good for their confidence. Everything you said that day seemed like a dig at me.

My 'friend': Your right, that day I had had enough. Freddie was and had been shouting at *** non stop for months and you were not telling him to stop and it got to the point **** was afriad of him and getting upset so like any mother I got protective of him. *** not enjoying playgroup or not getting in his pushchair was not effecting freddie, but freddie didnt want to be around ** as he was always telling him to go away which I also did not like. You also said your partner was teaching him to say this and laughing - and I did not find this funny at all. But hey you have made your point by not wanting to sort this out and do it your way. Hope you and freddie are well and you make other friends who don't offend you so badly. May I remind you that when it was your sons second birthday, I made cakes for him and made a fuss etc, but hey your loss.

    *I didn't bother replying*

My 'friend': Look, lets not be like this, we are both being protective mums and I think thats its actually quite sweet we are. Freddie and *** are both lucky to have mums that are willing to stop friends over them! Don't want to fall out as I saw you as a good friend. Maybe I will see you around in *** *** sometime in the future and we can go for a coffee when things have calmed down a bit. Hope you and freddie are ok. x

I am so so so angry. I sobbed all the way home after I read the 2nd text she sent me, literally balling my eyes out, and freddie was saying "please cheer up mummy" bless him.:A

Am I over reacting or was she being a total b!tch?! I know my ds was not in the right at all for telling her son to go away - but he was told to stop, and it only happend a few times... kids do throw things, say nasty things etc etc... and her son is literally wrapped in cotton wool (he was 2 last month and still sleeps in their bed, as he doesnt like his bed) don't get me wrong - nothing wrong with this, but they don't want him in the bed with him anymore but just dont perservere with getting him out of their bed. Also I did not find it 'funny' that my partner taught him to say 'go away' - and I think it was probably me he learnt it from, as I am always telling OH to go away in a jokey way.... And also why the hell is she that fussed to bother texting me the day after I delete her off facebook if she is that offended by me? Anyone else find this fishy??? Oh and yes, lovely that she basked DS cakes for his bday, but she is forgetting that I drove over twice a wk to see her, which costs time and money, plus got her ds christmas presents.... At the end of the day, am not going to see her as I don't want ds being spoken about like that, especially not infront of him - it isnt good for a childs confidence surelly?

Sorry compeltley not tesco related just needed to get it off my chest:(:(:(:mad::mad:

Fudge Cake i know you've already had this, but I dont get chance to catch up properly when i'm in work. I didnt find your post even remotely offensive. I also have massive issues with "NHS fundings" of a different sort, but it all still boils down to the same thing. NHS tightness . Hope you've wiped those tears away young lady!

Also, thanks for the heads up about the galaxy- am sending misery guts on his way to work tomorrow :j he's there early enough so he should get there before the lurkers :)

Not the best of days today, managed to make a small child scream and cry:eek:which isnt one of my favourite things to do. Still, i was forgiven with a massive cuddle or 10 :)

Could someone point me in the direction of the campbell's coupon please?

Got my free san miguel today. Co-op were a bit iffy about taking it, but ended up asking me where i got it so she could have one. Managed to print 2 so will go to another co-op tomorrow :j
