Hi everyone!
I'm a new member but was reading most of the helpful threads recently....
Same story, I'm in debt of around £30000 with loans and one credit card.was on DMP with One Debt Solution (£200) for 3 months, nothing was paid to my creditors.... They did not even bothered to answer me.... Then I cancelled with them and joined Harrington Brooks, big haha,,,, same story made 3 payments of (£200), was receiving phone calls and txt messages every single day... So irritated... The interest charge of my credit card was not frozen and my balance was going higher and higher.... Now I cancelled them this month,,, to be honest I feel I'm in the middle of nowhere.... Donno what to do and who I can trust?! They're just trying to rip off ordinary people...I'm desperate to get some help....
Is ther any way to get my money back?:(
Last night had a phone call from Bains & Ernst regarding IVA... So pushy and temptating....

Im sure someone with better advice than me will be along soon.
I suggest looking at one of the free DMP providers Payplan or CCCS.0 -
Hi
Oh my, you've been through the mill with these people. Please, please, please do not go with another fee-charging company. Go with CCCS (a charity) or Payplan - both provide the DMP service completely free of charge and both are well respected around here.
I've been on a DMP with CCCS for over a year. I did a blog about it, if you want to read it then google the info in my signature. Have a look for the DMP Mutual Support Thread on this forum as there's lots of help and info there.

I've been on a dmp with CCCS for 4 years now and will be debt free this time next year. A fee charging company quoted me 10 years before I'd be debt free so I've halved that time by going with a charity.
Also, CCCS, Payplan, CAB etc will advise you in your interests and not theirs - the firms you have been with are only out to line their pockets and make money out of you. It's in their interests to keep you on a dmp longer as they make more money.
Give one of the fee free providers a call in the morning.
Sadly, I doubt you'll get your money back.
Good luck.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free

Another vote for CCCS here! Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
Oct 2012 = Current debt: £40,548.93
Oct 2013 = Current debt: £39.054.70
DMP Support number 424 - Long haul number 3080 -
Just repeating what the others have said. Go with one of the non fee charging DMCs.
Have a look at their web sites and read this thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2077631 . You will be better off in the long run.
I was with Payplan.Proud to have dealt with my debts, became debt free on 03/11/2011. Repaid £54,723.41 LBM May 2006.
