  • The LV Personal Pension looks very good, I notice they also have some good AMC's on Emerging market funds are there any rough guidelines for what % UK, Europe, Asia should be in a pension that won't be used for 30 years.

Or is this a "how long is a piece of rope" question?

I'm no expert but I have a strong suspicion that it's a "your guess is as good as mine" answer...;)
  • If only I knew all the answers, but then I probably wouldn't even need a pension in the first place.....

Its more of an advice question and sector allocations and risk profiles etc tends to be something you dont get on the DIY method. Probably as firms can charge advisers who in turn charge clients.

sigh - phoned SW today to ask how much it would cost to transfer. The girl couldn't answer because it was the wrong department (surprise!!!) so I got put through to the right department. The chap couldn't answer as he was only covering today (surprise!!!). I'll get a call back within 24hrs not counting the weekend so probably either today or monday. Today came and went so I guess its monday.

Is there ever a point when finance and insurance companies will stop playing this silly game?
