Daughters hair wasn't greasy until just recently, now even

she doesn't use any styling products and just ties it up for school, she is 14- only shampoo i can find in shops is around
£7! bit too expensive.

A bit of vinegar in normal shampoo will help.0

If it's just teenage hair/skin she might find that she needs to wash it every day at the moment, in which case just a mild shampoo, perhaps?
I do find that nowadays a lot of the shampoos leave your hair looking greasy. Pantene clarifying shampoo is good and leaves your hair really 'squeaky' clean but it might be a bit harsh for everyday use.0 -
My DS of a similar age has this problem as do i - best shampoo we have found is the Dove - everyday one (has a blue label) and no conditioner. After years of washing my hair everyday i can now get up to 3 days with this one.. and usually on offer at one of the big 5, wilkos or superdrug.Updating .................................................

I'm not sure if it would help teenage-hormone greasy hair, but some adults with greasy hair have found that the conditioner-only method helps, as it stops the vicious circle of stripping hair/excess sebum production.

The great thing about this is you don't need to give it 2 weeks to see if it works - you'll know on the first day, as soon as the hair is dry.
Hope this helps.0 -
I'm in my late 40s and still have to wash my hair everyday. I'd say try conditioner only (I couldn't get used to it) or a dry shampoo in between washes.0

Tresemme is less than half price in Tesco at the moment. About £2 for 900ml.
There is a Deep Clean one that works for me!
Conditioner-only or Wash & Go type 2in1 stuff makes it greasy again before the end of the day.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0
