Council banding

Hi, An ethical question here - please move if its in the wrong place!
Following Martin's email on checking your banding I had a look at the banding of our house & that of our neighbours who have identical houses.
We are a band C and our 2 on our left neighbours are band D, despite the houses being exactly the same. The houses on our right (which are much larger) are a mix of C-E, so it would seem to me (without doing the complecated sums to find exact value in 1991) that the two houses to our left are over valued.
We get on really well with our neighbours to our left. Should I tell them that they might be wrongly banded or leave it incase the Council decide they are correct & it leads to an increase in our Council tax?
