I won a fb comp about a month where the prize was worth £160 approx. had to chase up the prize as it was late, received an email today to say there have been problems getting hold of the prize but would like to send me £50 voucher for m and s instead and 2 items from the main prize.. I don't mean to sound ungrateful as I'm really not but there is quite a gap in values? Any advice?

Are you able to access the T&Cs? There's usually something in them regarding subsitution of prizes. They may be C+P'd here. Without knowing much about your win I can't be much help - sorry!
Are you able to buy this item from M&S? If so you could look at how much it costs and ask for at least enough vouchers to buy that item.2009 Wins = £833
2010 Wins = £6,597
2011 Wins = £7,083
£2,012 in 2012 = £450/£2,012
20 in 2012 = 4/200 -
I believe it's the Anchor comp? People have been complained everywhere today. I'm pretty sure in the T&Cs it states that the prize received could be different to advertised. Thanks to all posters :A0

Did you win on Gransnet? I won as well and got the email so I'm interested in what happens with everyone else (especially as I was happy with the £50 vouchers at first)
The general competition terms and conditions for Gransnet on their website are but I'm not sure if they differed for the competition or not:
Terms and conditions
To enter, you must be:
(a) A UK resident; and (b) 18 years old or over at the time of entry.
The competition is not open to employees (or members of their immediate families) of Gransnet or Mumsnet or anyone promoting this month's competitions.
No purchase is necessary.
All entries must be made using the form on the relevant competition page.
No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost or delayed, or which are not received for any reason.
The winner will be chosen at random from all those entrants who have selected the correct answer.
If you win, we will notify you by e-mail.
If we do not get a response to the email within two weeks, the prize will be offered to a runner-up.
Our decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
You can find out who has won a particular competition by looking at our Winners' Corner thread in Site stuff.
The prize is not exchangeable for cash or any other prize.
If, for any reason, an advertised prize is not available, we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
Incorrectly completed entries will be disqualified.
Your details will be collected via encrypted data solely for the purposes of this prize draw and deleted once the winner/s have been notified.0
