I am due to finish my mortgage in 3 months. I rang the Halifax and asked what happens next. They replied that my account would be closed and i would be sent my deeds etc within 28 days. I asked about them keeping the deeds for an annual nominal fee, they replied that they no longer do this.
Whats the best way of keeping them secure etc.
