Hi all, at the end of last year we had a Consultant from this company knock on our door enquiring if we were interested in Free Solar Panels. I was so we arranged for him to come back for a chat. During the chat we asked numerous questions (I had done my research on what things to ask) and the company seemed great. No fees...for anything, completely free, so we signed up. We then had a few update phone calls from the Consultant saying things were in progress and to check all was still OK to go ahead, which it was. Then, two weeks ago we had a call from another company (cant remember the name
) who said they had taken over from Solar Solutions Marketing Ltd and needed to send some engineers over to do a survey to recheck all was OK to go ahead. I agreed and they came last Tuesday, did their survey and left saying I would hear from their head office confirming all was OK to go ahead. Then today I had a load of paperwork from Solar Solutions Marketing Ltd with contracts in asking me to sign and return them asap to get in for installation before the end of March. I also then received a phone call from them asking if I had received the paperwork and if I was happy to go ahead. When I questioned the fact that I had a call from another company stating SSM had gone under, they said they hadn't and knew nothing of this other company!!! Now I am really worried who this other company were. I have no information about them, no paperwork and cant remember the name either so feel really stupid and naive. Not sure how to proceed with things and who to go with now really. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and any contact from anyone who has any knowledge of Solar Solutions Marketing Limited (https://www.freesolarphotovoltaic.co.uk). Thanks in advance, Karen
p.s. I tried to call the original consultant that came for the chat but his number is now not recognised

Hi all,
I'm going to be able to shed some light onto this one.
I myself and a few ex colleagues are victims to this "Company"
We were previous sales reps to a well known solar company and started for Solar Solutions Marketing on a self employed basis due to the fantastic money they were paying,
I worked for 3 months for them taking over all my experience in renewable energy, Product knowledge on solar and surveying to this new company ... Knocking doors, Measuring roofs getting leases signed for the free Solar PV installation.
Once 10 - 15 people had signed the lease , Me and my colleague had sent them all off to the company's P.O Box.
We revived a phone call from there admin explaining the roof leases were wrong and needed to be changed in order to receive any payments.
Being self employed and it approaching November i was determined to get my money due to it being so close to Christmas.
I should of just given up there and moved on , How ever we and my colleague spent the money getting another 40 leases printed off at 25 pages long per copy .
One for the customer and one for the company.
As you can imagine the confusion from customers a lot of them were dropping out. Which in my eyes is perfectly understandable.
Once again sent the leases off to Cornwall .
Everything was received .
On the day i was due to be payed for my extensive hard work, Not a single trace of cash was in my bank from this company, No body would answer there phone, The main man who i had been in talks with was no where to be seen .
Living in the west midlands it was a fair travel to cornwall to a P.O box , Not a single clue what was going on.
Received a phone call explaining the leases needed to be changed once again. I obviously then thought enough is enough there is now way I'm putting people through this again or my self .
I for one am not a conman and i don't want to be portrayed as this due to fact some of my family members had also signed up to this incredible deal.
After speaking with the MD of Solar Solutions MARKETING. I could clearly see the problem as you may have already guessed.
Solar Solutions are from what i believed a legitimate solar panel company in the south west of England.
This Solar Solutions MARKETING ltd, were obviously nothing to do with this company...
From speaking with other people who had been conned by this Gentleman Steven Williams the Managing Director of Solar Solutions Marketing,
He had obviously been advertising fantastic money to receive these roof leases from people all around the UK.
Once receiving them he was more than likely selling them onto Solar Solutions or another Solar Panel company as complete Sales and Surveys for him self.
Must of been making incredible money, Once i clocked onto this i was trying to contact him every day for my money,
I then emailed him saying if you don't return my call you will be hearing from my solicitor. With in an hour i was contacted by Steven who explained he too has been conned, He cant pay anyone as he hasn't been payed.
He then had the cheek to ask me, " Do you know which customers of yours has mortgages ? The reason being i can arrange an installation date for your customers who don't have mortgages then i can get payed and pay you..."
My response was in extreme aggressive English which i cant type onto the website as of how foul the content was.
By then it was almost 2 and a half months with out payment,
I then thought what can i do ?
I cant demand payments as im not employed directly,
I'm self employed working for a company who are a 4 hour drive away from me,
With tons of customers phoning me asking what the hell is going on ?.
I hope this puts all of you into some light about this company,
STAY CLEAR AND DO NOT USE!!!!
The reason I'm writing is because I've started receiving emails from him again advertising for worker's.
Is there anyway we could take this guy down legally ?
I am more than happy to provide history of every email received and sent, Advertising , Leese PDF's , Contracts etc.
I understand it may be impossible to ever receive money from him but if we can get the company closed down and get him in serious debt or trouble .
I know my self and may others who would fight to do this. I gathered this may be a good website to do so:j
