We've had an email about a free event for west Londoners that some of you may find interesting..
WasteWatch is organising the first ‘Walk, Talk, Taste!’ event in Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush on Saturday 10 March.
‘Walk TalkTaste’ will take you off-the-beaten-track and allow you to discover local foodtreasures on your doorstep that are bound to get your mouth watering.
[FONT="]Along theroute you will meet shopkeepers, market stallholders, food growers and foodenthusiasts. You will have the opportunity to find out more about foodproduced and sourced locally, and explore some of the confusing messages aroundfood.[/FONT]
[FONT="]We’ll bewalking in places where we will learn how our urban foodscapes have changedover the years. Together we’ll discover how on your high street there are agreat many ways to buy ethically and support your local shops![/FONT]
[FONT="]The walk is atotal of 1.5 miles and our pace will be gentle. We meet at Ravenscourt ParkGreenhouses at 11am andfinish with a shared meal from 1pm.There will be a great opportunity to meet new people, try new foods and havefun discovering the food delights of Shepherds Bush.[/FONT]
