http://www.jusrol.co.uk/newsletter.aspx?comp=true (not sure if you really need Facebook, apart from the picture of the pie, which is only revealed when you press "Like")
answer : British (this is the answer I have put on my entry. If you look at posts 2, 4 and 5 it could be the Union Flag or the United Kingdom Flag. Entirely up to you what you put)
Entrants must be aged 18 or over and legal residents of the UK. The competition is not open to employees (or their immediate families) of the Promoter, its agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
To enter the competition, entrants must submit their answer to the question “What flag is encrusted on the pie?” together with their name and e-mail address online via the Jus-Rol Facebook page.
Only one entry per email address. No duplication allowed. Automated entries are prohibited, and any use of such automated devices or programs will cause disqualification.
No purchase necessary to enter.
The closing time/date for entries is 17:00 on Sunday 11th March 2012. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any lost or delayed entries. Incomplete or illegible entries will not be accepted.
12 winners will be chosen at random from all of those entries which answered the question correctly. The first 2 randomly chosen winners will each receive a KitchenAid® Artisan® Food Processor and £5 of Jus-Rol™ product vouchers. The next 10 randomly chosen winners will receive £5 of Jus-Rol™ product vouchers.
The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

Thanks van. I think because it is British Pie Week and Jus-Rol are sponsoring it, the answer is most likely to be British. Also when I see the flag, I never ever think that's the Union Jack, I automatically think of it as the British flag. Probably not very PC. Up to individual posters what they want to put.

Just for the record, it is called the Union Flag. It is the Union Jack when flown from a ship.
And if we are being absolute sticklers, the country is The United Kingdom. ;-) (GB is Eng, Scot & Wales)
GL all.

More or less what I was about to say.
To call it "British" is to exclude Northern Ireland but the diagonal red cross does represent Northern Ireland. The current version of the flag is the flag of The United Kingdom.0 -
