Just did a check of my bank balances
Realised I have about £15 in my bank account and £10 in my purse to do me until the 20th! The car has petrol and the freezer/cupboards have food, so I only need it for milk/bread fruit etc. Should be ok, shouldn't it?
On a positive note I remembered I have been paying £10 a month pre-tax from my wage into a sharesave account for the last few years so today I phoned the company and sold my 79 shares in HSBC! Bad news is I have to pay tax on them as each measly share only becomes tax free after 5 years. I sold them for £435 minus the broker fee so I imagine i'll get between £280 and £350 after tax depending on what rate I am taxed at.
Oh and I got a date from my consultant for my caesarean section if baby hasn't arrived by then, 3rd August! Don't know if I can last another 4 weeks though. In so much pain, can't really leave the house anymore

8 days till pay day.....I have about £5/£6 in my grocery account to buy bread and milk and should enough in the freezer/fridge cupboards for all the meals till then. It is soooo boring having no money! Hoping the sale of my shares will come through in my wage packet this month, that would potentially clear 2 of my credit accounts and about 4% of my total credit/store card debt! Whoop whoop!
I've been reading a lot of S.O.A's recently and would really love to have the room to cut back more but I know I have made all the possible cutbacks. Being poor sucks, especially when I know I could bury my head in the sand, keep making minimum payments and have an extra £300/£400 a month to play with!March'13 - Debt £13000 :eek:Total % paid - 0%0 -

Gutted
Never got the money from the sale of my shares through in this months wage. Should get it next month though, if not, i'll need to contact them to find out what's going on. I also never got that extra weeks maternity pay I was expecting so only managed to pay £50 off my next account this month.
Still no sign of baby, next weeks c-section is looking more and more likely. Toddler is displaying some VERY trying behaviour at the moment. Think he might have cabin fever as we are not getting out much, feel very guilty about this fact and do try to make up for it at the weekend when husband is around to take him out.
My mum told me that my wonderful grandparents have been saving £1 coins in a piggy bank for the baby which totals about £300! I am so lucky to have such wonderful relatives. I will probably use this money to help buy nappies and clothes and bits and bobs for the baby in the first few months. I would prefer to be able to save it for her but once all the debt is cleared I am going to set up savings accounts for the children.
Anyway, enough rambling for one day....March'13 - Debt £13000 :eek:Total % paid - 0%0 -
8 months since last post, thats got to be a record, no?
Still up to my eyeballs in debt although the total has been reduced to 13000 from 16000 so thats a positive I guess.
However I now have 2 children and no income as a stay at home mum. My husband does of course work and earns enough that we can live without state help (child benefit excluded) but only just thanks to mountains of debt!
Set myself a wee challenge of feeding the four of us on the sum of the child benefit. £33.70 a week, this will NOT include household stuff or nappies/cleaning supplies etc. Just breakfast, lunch and dinner for 4! Anyone want to join me in this challenge????March'13 - Debt £13000 :eek:Total % paid - 0%0 -
Have written my shopping list for tomorrow and i think i might just get away with keeping to my budget of 33.70 although we will be eating slow cooked pulled pork 4 nights out of 7

Aiming for a no spend weekend hope this works out. Feeling quite deflated at the tiny amounts of wiggle room financially. Really cant cut back anywhere else.
