    Hi folks,

Actually had a NDS day today (Even though i'm not even doing that challenge!) which is amazingly rare, as I normally have to buy at least one thing.

Went swimming for free (local deal) but DD (2yrs) spoiled that by having a screaming tantrum when it was time to leave... which was embarassing as a mother I know was there and looked shocked and kept saying "Oh dear". Anyway, that was a saving of at least £8.

Also, Lucky DH was given 3 patisserie strawberry tarts (Worth at least £1.50) last night, so I commiserated with one of those after dinner.

Would it be cheating to add the £8 swimming saving? Or what about the £1.50 for the cakes....

Sold pair of shoes on ebay this evening, but disappointed as they only went for £8.50 and they were brand new clarks. Oh well.

Got 2 MS tomorrow. Started to set myself up with paperwork so I don't get swamped under by it. I need to get a bookeeping book and tippex! Going to do inland revenue form tomorrow too.

    Good luck for tomorrow peeps!

    SFG x

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi everyone :)

sat down earlier and reading through - thanks countingpennies i read your post and took myself off to Mr T's sale :D nabbed a few bargains - spent less than £10 :T thought things i'd got were £1 but they were 50p each - fab! :D I don't count savings for this challenge -but really massive thank you. When my boots got worn down and holes in them last year i couldn't afford to buy any more :o Really regretted it afterwards when i found i'd really damaged the heels of my feet - they still quite bad now :( So today got a few pairs of boots 50p each :j:j:j which i wear for work so really happy :T:T:T

Anyways added to my target today with money cleared from eb*y and bingo and sold some bits i was going to sell on ebay :D

Well done everyone - i've seen some amazing totals so far :T:T:T

Pleased to be of assistance! :D

I too got lots of 50p boots, some of which had been reduced from £35!! Me and one of my daughters have the same size feet so i got them for both of us. :D

Sold some bits on ebay tonight, will tally up and update soon :D

Wow!! Fab bargains going on at Tesco - particularly the 50p Boots   Amazing.
Bit gutted now as I was meant to be going to Tesco today as I've an audit to do there over the weekend, but wasn't feeling too well so have had to put it off till tomorrow. Hopefully there will be something good left.

Thank you to Helen, I've just withdrawn £10 from SunBingo :A:)

I've also finally got around to remembering what else I can add, and adding it up!

£20 vouchers to add from mine and OHs Shop & Scan, and 2 lots of £3 Luncheon Vouchers to add as well.

£11.10 profit to add from a MS that was paid a couple of days ago, and £41.30 profit from OH for a few jobs he did which he gives me to put into 'the pot'

Almost up to withdrawing on Swagbucks - again both me and OH. (He's been really good lately I must admit, he usually just moans about all these money making sites when I try to make him do them too). We had a race earlier of who could get the most points in 45 mins on SB :rotfl: Don't say we don't know how to live on a Saturday night.
(I won by the way, but only by about 6 points. I conveniently forgot to remind him that the 9 points he got for a search I also got too as he signed up under me!! Shhhh :o)

So I make that £52.40 to get me off the mark, which feels good, but then I know that in a couple of days that won't even keep me on target. 2 bids on Ebay for things finishing tomorrow totalling a whole fiver :rotfl: but a fair few listings ready to go on tomorrow from my little motivation spurt this afternoon - which has now flat-lined :(

  • Hi Again,

Can't believe it!!!!!! Was having a very dodgy weekend DFWwise as my Dad has been really unsettled. Should have been listing on ebay and writing an article last night but got nothing done, followed by zero sleep. Walked a couple of dogs this morning, 3 trips to the tip this afternoon, drove DD to a party this evening. Dad eventually went to bed at about 8 pm having been constantly awake for 36 hours and I should have settled down to write and list.
Being lazy/tired (or both) I decided to browse the forums and ended up chancing my arm at Gala Bingo through TCB. To get the cash back you have to wager at least £10 so I started playing and decided to play the bonus as well. When I had a couple of £s left, I checked my history and saw that I have won £10 on the first game I played but hadn't noticed it (duurrrrr) - so I thought I'd lost £8 of my winnings so I may as well play the rest.
Guess what? I won a £70 full house (and withdrew it immediately)!!!!!!!! What I'm going to do is declare £60 now (taking off the £10 deposit) and then the full £20.20 when the cash back is paid (assuming it tracks). If the cash back tracks, that will be £80.20 profit in total!!!!!
So I've profited from being idle (would never have made that much from an article + what I had planned to list) and from being stupid (not noticing the first £10 win). Must have been due some luck!

  • Well done, Sally. You were definitely due a break :D

Saved £6 with the shopping today and I do like it when the receipt tells me that I also paid £6.32 less than if I had bought the same stuff at MrT or A$da :)

Im at £166 already, *I've been put on the naughty step for pervous comments! ;) * :D Double your money, double your money....:D

Feeling a bit down today, the sun is shining, the seagulls are squaking....but the ex has a new hi-flying london city girlfriend. Not that I want him back or anything, just depressing that I'll be on my own for a long time. I mean, who would want a single mother of 2 children who have diffrent fathers, no money, no job, obsessive money maker, survey do'er, carbooting fanatic, swaggernaut, bingo playing, cider drinking, referal loving recluse?!!

I think MSE should start doing a dating site...! :D

Nat, I think you're lovely, hun. And I think someone out there thinks so too. <3
