Alternative to ebay

Morning Everyone!
I Just wanted to ask if anyone knows any alternatives to ebay as i'm having some problems with ebay and limits they're putting on my sales, i've only listed things from in my own home!
Any reccomendations would be brilliant as I don't just want to sign up to any auction site i'd prefer to go to one that has been reccomended.
Thank you have a lovely day!

  • How about Gumtree? Not eBay as such but free to list and you can haggle with buyers/sellers.
  • There is no equiv for "normal" items for auction style sales. Whilst there are a few others all of them are tiny in comparison and so sales rates massively lower due to the lack of customers there.

If you've a fixed price in mind then there are a couple of alternatives depending on what your trying to sell with the most generic being Gumtree

You could try QXL or Preloved. Although neither get anything like the traffic of ebay or Gumtree.

I also had problems with ebay restrictions at one time due to a couple of "newbies" leaving negative feedback when items were broken in the post. With being a very small time seller, this really impacted, no amount of pleading with ebay did me any good and I also looked into alternatives. In the end, I just continued on ebay, listing my "allowed" 4 items a month with free P&P (an automatic 5 star rating) and ensured I offered an excellent service.

After a year, all restrictions have been lifted, negatives gone and I have 5 stars for all categories, so perhaps worth persevering?

    Good luck :)

    MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS

Have a look at facebay instead, no fees and handy for collections as its usually in your local area. Type facebay into the search bar when you are logged into FB, should be available in most areas.
  • Thank you everyone for your replies!
After much searching I have taken MimiJane's advice and decided to perservere...oh ebay why are you so addictive!

  • Not sure if you have any electrical items to sell but if you do, then i'd highly recommend AVforums Classified. Buyers usually pay you in person, via bank transfer or by paypal gift.
  • There is also Ebid which is free..
