Sorry but this matter is urgent shouldn't you make a call to ensure they have received the letter and to explain the situation?0

This link might help - http://www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk/infoabout/judgment/cannotpay/happens.htm
Your son can ask to have the bailiffs warrant suspended while he submits a variation order to pay the amount owed in installments or a stay of judgement or execution which means you temporarily ask to pay nothing.
Your son will need to get onto this straight awayOne day I will be debt free and fat free!:grinheart0 -
All members of the household have been instructed to be very careful about any callers and not to let anyone in for any reason at all.
My son has nothing of any value, his E reg car which doesn't work isn't worth much, he has some CD's, my old CD player and an old computer which he uses for job hunting and chatting to his mates.
Bectoria - thanks for the link, we will follow this up
Clapton - thanks, we will contact creditors about freezing the interest and charges0 -
One quick question why does your son not have a job ? Is out with his CV giving it to every local shop, pub, club, telephone sales, anything really, to get a job and start earning money ?0

just be careful about opening the door, you don't actually have to let them in, they can just put their foot in the way to stop you closing the door on them and they have crossed the threshold (they then have a foot in your house) IYSWIM.0

Oh yeah, cos it's oh so easy to do just that! You can only help people so far. Sometimes you have to let them make their own mistakes and pray to *insert name here* that they learn from it.;)I am not a complete idiot - some parts are missing;)0 -

As has already been posted , do not leave your house or windows open as they can gain legal entry that way. They are not permitted to force an entry.
If they do get in, it is imperative that you do not let them start listing your posessions, only the boys.
There are also ( i believe) limits on the amounts that they are alowed to add to the debt as their fee.
They will normally turn up in a little white van in my experience.
Keep the bas***ds out at all costs . They are vermin1/11/06 -1/06/07 BSC #42
