This would be my ideal printer:
- simple (JUST a printer, not a printer/scanner/etc)
- laser (more ink-efficient apparently)
- NO colour printing facility (just normal)
- cheap, obviously
- ink already installed
- cheap ink replacements
- NOT wireless
- NEW, not used
Any idea where I can get one? Have looked on eBay and in my local big Tescos, didn't find much though. Tesco's had a very modern one for ~£25, but frankly I'm sick of all the gadgets that everything seems to have ("wireless scanner copier ultra-high def 250GB HD color printer", NO, I just want a simple printer that I can print documents with, anything else simply gives me a headache). However I have a sad feeling that the simpler printers are likely to be more expensive because they're now "outdated"..

Try Amazon or a quick google search. The latter provides links from around £38 upwards.

Electrical123 have a Samsung laser printer for £37 including delivery. The toner cartridge that comes with it is only half full so you'll probably get about 650 pages out of it before you need a replacement.

The cheapest compatible toner cartridges I could find was £24 including delivery from this Ebay seller with excellent feedback.

A lot of money I know compared with the cost of the printer but it will be a full cartridge which should give you 1400+ pages.0
