Congrats to everyone else!
It was quite scary but we'd vaguely talked about marriage before so I knew I wasn't that far off the mark.
I asked him to play a game of Scrabble with me and opened some wine. Then halfway through the game, I told him to go and look in the kitchen cupboard for a surprise I'd hidden for him (box of chocolates). While he was out of the room, I arranged "MARRY ME" out of some letters I'd secretly put to one side earlier on in the day!
