Prices static but activity up. Hometrack put this down to the end of the stamp duty holiday.

While this survey tracks trends across the re-sale market, the lack of supply is providing a clear opportunity to the house building industry as they deliver much needed supply into the wider market.

I have to say I've noticed quite a few properties in my area coming back onto the market that had been taken off the market due to not selling.
I see they've kept the price the same as before though. :doh:0 -

According to Hometrack vendors are achieving a slightly higher % of their asking prices. I wonder if they were taken off sale because they couldn't achieve the asking price but have gone back on because they are now more optimistic of getting closer to what they want.0 -

Yes I imagine that is what they are thinking. However it is a bit unrealistic where I live because house prices are still edging downwards, so these houses actually look more expensive now than when they took them off the market a few months ago.0
