    There's the Gateway PC at Comet £349.99:

    http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=353930

    Am thinking about getting one of these myself.

    It''s dual core (AMD not Intel)
    Has 256MB GF7300 graphics
    Comes with 1 year warranty, 3yrs can be purchased (not sure if it's a good idea though)

    Not really a bargain! :confused::confused:
  • thanks MRD5477 but i would really prefer a intel pentium processor and also the 3 year warranty standard as the extra is usually about £120 which i dont want i need the whole package for around £400 thankyou anyway though

  • the perfect pc i have found was the aldi medion but i dont think they got any left so that leaves me with a gateway from tesco direct but its doesnt have a 3 year warranty http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.200-5485.aspx and the comet HP one which also doesnt include the warranty http://www.comet.co.uk/cometbrowse/product.do?sku=358967&tab=specification theres also the Hp from Staples but again doesnt include warranty http://www.staples.co.uk/ENG/Catalog/cat_sku.asp?CatIds=1320%2C1869,1347&webid=VF385802&affixedcode=WW

    STOP!!

    nobody NEEDS Vista mate - you really DONT!!
  • i also need vista

    nobody really "needs" it, just stick with xp, there is no major difference. Alternatively get a mac.

    How exactly did your pc "break"? maybe it can be fixed.
  • i know it can be fixed but i cant do it myself an i dont want to pay like £50 when i can save up an get a better one but i'm not sure i think its simply the power supply as it wont power up at all at first it would light up but only the fan powers an lights but now its just dead.

    Why you want a intel processor?

    You do know that amd's perform much better that intels!

    Also i agree with others that vista is just a big waste of money no major difference between vista and xp sp2. As as far as i can see is that vista has a new inetrface. WOW.

    Go for a dell, might not get the warranty at that price, but they are cheap. Aldi also just had a special, some stores may still have them. They had 3 year warranty.

    edit: dont forget quidco with dell as well
