Cheap socks

I have a sock mountain, or maybe a sock quarry, but I end up wearing the same few pairs over and over again - plain sports socks that are hard wearing and wick the sweat away. I like to walk a lot at lunchtimes, and normal thin socks leave me with blisters. The trouble is, all my socks now have big holes in them! I need to buy some more on the cheap. You can't ask for used socks on freecycle (and the thought is a bit ew!).

So - where's the best place to get cheap sports socks for women? Boots used to do brilliant ones, but it seems to have stopped.

Our two local pound shops do sports socks believe it or not. I think primark also have them! Hope this helps. :)
  • Tesco sports socks are good and quite cheap.

could you not double up your cotton ones? i do this in winter something (or if i'm breaking in new shoes) failing that i think mens sport socks are always harder wearing so i'd buy boys ones from primark.

That's a brilliant idea quintwins! I would never have thought of buying boys' socks. I have size 8 feet but find the men's ones are huuuge.

I've worn boys socks for years-the plain black ones.In the winter I often wear walking socks over a pair of ordinary socks for extra warmth. My winter boots are slightly on the large side so two pairs of socks works quite well.
