I've seen "£1000 BUYER'S INCENTIVE AVAILABLE" on a few flats particulars on Rightmove.

Its a way of sucking in FTBs who think they must be being offered something for nothing.
They're not. The 'incentive is built into the price.
Just look at the final price you will have to pay (however constituted) and decide if that is a price you are willing to pay.0 -

We're looking to buy at the moment and I prefer to let the EA think that I'm going along with it, so that there is less risk of being seen unfavourably in negotiations.
I don't want them pushing someone else's offer over mine because they can see some potentially juicy commissions from another buyer who has fallen for the scam.
I just need to make sure that I don't enter into any binding commitment with the EA.What goes around - comes around0 -

An excellent tactic.
Just agree to come in and discuss the mortgage and solicitors AFTER the price is agreed, go armed with quotes from your mortgage lender and Solicitor.I am a Mortgage Adviser
