Hey everyone
I've been a lurker for a while, but have decided to bite the bullet and join as an official DFW. A little about me, I'm female (hard to tell the gender on forums sometimes!), 25 and live with my boyfriend of 5 years. Rented flat as we can't afford to buy (don't think many people can these days).
I work from home doing various things. I love the flexibility this gives me and the freedom to choose what to do. I have had normal jobs, and wouldn't be opposed to getting another job if I had to.
I am around £40k in debt. Stupid living and too many holidays in my late teens/early 20s I'm afraid. My OH is also in debt, but not that much. It is all separate, so he is clearing his and I am clearing mine. I would love to clear it all before I am 30, so that we can get married and start a family.
I'm sure that MSE will play a massive part in helping me become debt free. Over the next few days, I'm going to join some challenges and get myself organised to start tackling those debts from 1st March.
My basic game plan is to work my little butt off and earn all the pennies I can. I'm also going to cut back and save money wherever possible.
Thanks for reading this and please subscribe to support me and chat. I may be here a while, but I will get there
.

Good luck

Thanks Jwil
.
Bit behind with work today. I've got a large job to get done by midnight, but was also offered some other work that was double the fee if I could get it done this morning. Can't say no to that, so I've got that done and am now going back to the other job. Might have to work late to get it done.
Should be an NSD. I'm likely to be working for the rest of the day so that's also good for not spending money
. Also saves on petrol.
Going to calculate my debt total if I get the chance later on and put it in my signature. Scary .LBM - Feb 2012. Debt then - £40,139.59. Debt now - £40,139.59.

Morning

Finished my work around 11pm last night (did have a few breaks in between though - didn't want to be stuck in the flat all day!).
Got another longish job on today. Hoping to finish it before 11pm though. Just taken a break from it to calculate my debt total. It is roughly what I thought::eek:£40,139.59:eek:
Yep, I'm gonna be here for a while. That total is made up of 17 different creditors that range from £38.33 to £6,724.59.
Better get earning those pennies I guess.LBM - Feb 2012. Debt then - £40,139.59. Debt now - £40,139.59.
