I've been given some vouchers and money for my birthday and am considering investing in a Clarisonic (probably the Mia), was wondering if anyone has tried one and would you recommend it?
I am 24 with combination skin, very prone to spots on my chin (hormonal usually) and blocked pores which nothing seems to improve, have been using liz earle cleanse and polish which is probably the best thing I have tried but still not amazing. Any of you who use a Clarisonic, which cleanser do you use with it?
Thanks, Lauren.

I couldn't stretch to a Clarisonic so bought a Rio Sonicleanse an i love it.
I'm 31 and don't really get spots but had large visable pores on my nose.
I use it once a day in the morning with any cream cleanser and my skin has perked up massively. To be begin with i got a few spots (purge phase) but since then nothing. Its simple an easy to use and i use less face cream and make up an my skin is smoother.I'm so boring, my clothes wanna keep someone else warm, someone cooler0 -
I have very spot prone and oily skin and got the Clarisonic Mia2 for Christmas. I haven't found it to be a magic cure but it is very good. My skin has never been smoother and just feels a lot more clean.
I usually use it every evening and occasionally in the morning. I kept using my regular cleanser, freederm. I definitely experienced a 'purge' phase but now my skin is really clearing up.
Really worth considering the Mia2 or the plus if you can as the timer is really useful.0 -
I really like my Clarisonic and have used it with several cleansers. It leaves my skin a lot cleaner than just using cleanser alone and I like to use the body brush head in the shower. Mine's the Plus version, purchased from Sephora (via a parcel forwarding service) during their Friends & Family sale for around $180, which is equivalent to the current UK price of the Mia
Prior to Clarisonic I would go over my face with a toner & cottaon pad after cleaning off makeup, and the cotton pad always picked up some remaining foundation regardless of which cleanser I used. But since I've been using Clarisonic I can just skip the cotton pad because the gentle brush really gives a very thorough clean without irritating my skin. The massaging action feels great too.
Unfortunately no cleanser will get rid of your hormonal acne; you need to either see a doctor or look at your diet to see if anything in particular triggers it. That said, if you can afford it, definitely consider a Clarisonic as it's a very worthy beauty investment.0 -
Thanks everyone. I realise it wont get rid of hormonal spots but have seen lots of reviewers saying it lessens the size of them and the time they are there so thought it would help.0

The Clarisonic is the best others will say oh buy this brand or that which is cheaper. But Clarisonic is slightly different, one you can remove the inner part of the brush for use around the nose etc if you need it. It clicks in and out no problem. The inner brush part moves differently from the outer, which other brand does that. If you need spares easy to get from Clarisonic UK. Including a new charger etc if needed.0

Soo very tempting. I am in my mid-30's with normal to dry skin and monthly hormonal breakouts. I don't have large pores and rarely get blackheads would the clarisonic or rio model help my skin?If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0

I took the plunge and bought the Mia a week ago. My skin feels sooo clean, i have had a few spots but apparently this happens for the first few weeks while it sucks all the rubbish out of your pores. Despite using Liz Earle with a muslin cloth I always had dry, flaky patches which the clarisonic removes completely, moisturiser sinks in much better and make up look much smoother, i think it seems great so far!0
