Hi, I guess I am not so much asking for help, more not wanting to feel alone in all this
My debts may not sound huge at around £5K but with my income at an all time low paying them is leaving me struggling. I have had days where dinner has been pasta. Completely plain pasta. But at least it was dinner eh? :rotfl:
I know what I need to do, earn more blooming money! I have the skills , as a community artist with youth work training I should be able to offer workshops via councils etc. I have just ordered(with money I don't really have but hey, I need to invest to earn) postcards & car door magnets for childrens art parties so it's fingers crossed all round. but it's that feeling that you're all on your own that gets me. Oh damn, that just made me tearful as I wrote it. No one knows how much of a struggle it is right now cos my silly pride won't let me tell them. So I'm telling you. I'm telling you that I cry daily. That I have got into the payday loan trap. That we have had notice on our houseshare & I have to move out by the end of March but have no idea where or how. That I owe my housemate £150 for bills & am amazed at how patient he is (guess it'll come out of my deposit) & how I avoid him which makes home life horrible. But I'm also telling you I'll get out of this, somehow, one day. It just helps fantastically that I'm not on my own :T

Hi & Welcome,
You are right, you aren't alone. just by being here you have joined the MSE DFW huggy family :grouphug: (dodgy hug for you)
You say you need to up your income, do you feel up to posting a SOA for us to have a look at and maybe suggest some ways to help with the debts?
The link is HERE when you have completed it, format it for MSE and you can post it up for us to look at.
Have you had a good look around the boards for any challenges you can join in with too? They help keep me focussed.
Keep posting.

Welcome to the forum:). Exactly what type of work do you do? I ask as arty type things seem to sell quite well on EBay. Maybe sketches of One Direction for instnce, hitting that Tweenie, preteen crowd who like such things in their bedroom. Probably a dreadful idea? My daughter is a dancer and we are aways desperate for costumes if you can sew... eBay costume sales always seem to do well
I know these are shots in the dark but wanted to try and help.
If you put up an SOA to which there are links in the sticky threads at the top of the forum then we may be able to offer advice on where you can cut back, however, judging by your pasta meals you may already have cut as far as you can. Still, might be worth a try.LBM August 2011. DFD somewhere post [STRIKE]2025[/STRIKE]2022

I knew this was the right place to come, thank you :j
I will do the SOA although I have gone through things & cancelled my gym, my only non essential apart from the pub, which I shall not stop but go onto lime & soda...I'd go crazy if I couldn't get out!
I have also drafted a letter to the tax office requesting they look again at my bill, am sure they are wrong & that they owe me
It's the support from you guys that will help. I'll fix this mess somehow but knowing you are all behind me will make a hard journey a little easier.
Thank you xxx0 -
