I'm not a big chip person so usually just buy a bag of organic oven chips for the odd occasion that we have them, however I have a glut of potatos & it seems silly to buy ready made ones when I must surely:o (hopefully?:o) be capable of making them myself?

Is it just a case of chopping into chip shapes, spraying a bit of oil on them & bunging them in the oven? Do I need to par-boil? Or is it more complicated than that?
