Best way to manage debt without going bankrupt

  • But, according to the thread title, the OP is looking for a way to get out of debt without going bankrupt!

    Thank you.

  • If you're really not wishing to consider bankruptcy, then that realistically leaves you with either an IVA or a DMP....

Have you spoken to one of the free debt advice charities?

Kittie, with the exception of Wecandothis, I would seriously disregard the comments made by the others at this point. No disrespect people but you can't possibly suggest someone goes bankrupt or on a DMP given the information provided so far.

Why disregard my comments? She did say "without going bankrupt".

Maybe she wouldn't get accepted on Debt Management Plan owing that much, but to say disregard all but one of the posters comments is a bit harsh :(

And I owe £27,00 without owning any property or land :(

It just spirals onwards and upwards until you can't pay the minimum monthly repayments, and no, I didn't go on any lavish spending sprees or had a flash motor.

I don't have anything to show for my debts other than a rented council flat and a humble '04 plate Fiesta (that was second hand, I hasten to add)
