We just bought our first house and am thinking of joining costco (am eligible to join).
Question is, do they do furniture in store or other household items which we are likely to buy in a month or so! Is there a catalogue of stocked items or catagories!
any other thoughts on costco membership / tips welcome!

I think it depends on location. I think you can visit on a guest pass for your first visit to see what they have in your local one.
I have always found Makro a better option for wholesale purchases.0 -
thanks, i will email them re guest passes. my local one will be watford, London.0

Watford's my local, it's not the biggest but still pretty good. haven't found costco generally great for furniture - there are only a couple of aisles which means only a few of each item so not great for choice and a lot of the items that are there permanently are expensive
Electronics are usually cheaper online
there's no catalogue for them except i think they have a company manage rugs and kitchens and things for them
what they are good at is having ad hoc things at great prices, I go more for the household items/foodYes Your Dukeiness

thanks, i will ask them if they can give a guest pass to see what those couple of isles and other electrical stock is like. any idea if they have things like sofa/bed and wooden flooring, as we will probably need these things!0 -
afaik you can get your membership fee refunded anytime within the year 9even if you've bought stuff) if you decide it isn't good value.
just remember you have to transport items (evn big ones) yourself (or hire someone with a van)0
