Fennel in the slow cooker??

Hi..

I have had fennel in my veg box this week and i have never even seen one before let alone cooked one lol

I am slinging a load of stuff in the slow cooker this morning....will fennel be ok cooked like this?? Or am i better off roasting it or making it into a soup??
