An alternative to SVP for blank DVD/CD media

Dear fellow MSE users,
I am desperately in need of some advice/recommendations for possible alternative companies to use for spare/blank DVD/CD media.
I normally use SVP who by and large have been very good but I've had enough of their faulty newsletter system which has caused me to miss their last two 99p shipping weekends (have been waiting since Dec to make a big purchase of spare DVDs). Their standard charge of £5.50-6 is pretty pricey if you're only spending £10-15 on media so I dont mind waiting until these 99p weekends and buying in bulk (you need to spend £30 in order to qualify for 99p shipping).
I know their newsletter is listed on their website but who could be stuffed visiting their site every single day just to check for a newsletter update!
Obviously this is not the only reason for my desire to switch - I just thought it would be handy to know what other companies out there sell quality blank DVD/CD media for similar value on offer through SVP.
I should point out that I have also had some horrendous dramas with SVP's delivery company in London which is another reason for my desire to find some alternatives.

I ordered some lightscribe disks and got them the next day with standard delivery
I have always found http://www.bigpockets.co.uk To be a good alternative..0 -
Dotn SVP offer you the choice of two couriers now? Great company IMO
personally wouldn't get near bigpocketsNice to save.0 -
thanks Alan,
don't mean to be finicky but unfortunately Neo have very limited stock of printable DVD-R - no tayo Yuden / no Panasonic / no Verbatim in this category.
still, might be good for cheaper-end media... will have to scour through to see their full range.0 -

I used to use them but their shipping to NI can be expensive, I found shopneo to be quicker and cheaper once I add in p&p0 -

alan, as I wrote, I need PRINTABLE media, not 'unbranded'... I did notice NEO sell unbranded tayo yuden but it's the printable stuff I need.... thanks all the same.0

thanks crompton but yes I have been registered to receive their emails for the last 4 or 5 years that I've used SVP but they've recently has a serious problem with their newsletter system whereby god knows how many people no longer receive them - they claim 'all users who are experiencing this problem should check their spam filter' but I have two emails registered with them - both of which let me check what's filtered into the spam folder AND I still receive their product watch emails...
they just couldn't be bothered or don't know how to fix their own newsletter emailing system...
bloody infuriating and the main reason why I want to investigate alternatives - their standard shipping of close to £6 is expensive - i've been waiting since December for their 99p shipping weekends and have missed the last 2 despite regularly checking their newsletter on the website.
oh well, maybe they are still the only company to use in respect to value and variety... perhaps I'll have to wait another month or 2 until their next 99p shipping weekedn and just hope I spot it this time.0
