Is there a cheap alternative parcel drop-off box?

Hi,
I get a number of parcels delivered and while some couriers will leave them at neighbours when we're not in and when I remember to leave a note, others won't. Unfortunately, all of the courier depots are at least an hours drive away (except Royal Mail). It would be very useful for me to have a parcel drop-off box, such as a ŵŵŵ.hippo-box.co.uk, but at >£200 they are out of my budget. Anyone got any suggestions on a (much) cheaper alternative?

Hi Bedfellow,
As your question isn't related to Old Style, I've moved it over to the I wanna board to see if you can get more replies.

I would also like to know if anyone knows of a similar product, getting a bit fed up with all the deliveries I miss!0

Nice idea - should be easy enough to knock one up, could be this weekend's little project....:cool:Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

I have a combined box/bench at the back of my house and the postman leaves parcels that don't need to be signed for in there. I could add a padlock if I was worried about theft, but it's never been an issue.
Some online shopping & delivery firms (including Amazon) use pick-up drop off points called Collect+ at local shops and garages, so it's always worth enquiring about that. Their website is here .
Royal mail named-day redelivery is free, so I tend to use that a lot for parcels that have gone back to their depot.[FONT="][FONT="] Fighting the biggest battle of my life.Started 30th January 2018.

Just today I noticed Amazon offering delivery to the Collect+ network, used Collect+ a while back for a drop off, these corner shops are often open before work and until 10pm. Puts Amazon at a distinct advantage vs EBay if all other things are equal.0
