Just ordered 2 lots of the surfina ...
Thanks0 -
Good find OP - but can I offer moneysavers an alternative way to get cheap herb plants - buy the growing culinary herbs at supermarket and divide them and plant them out - my row of chive plants was just a £1.29 growing pot - the growing pots are actually a lot of seedling plants grown close together so you can do the same with parsley, mint etc
And if you take soft sprigs off rosemary or mint vgrowing pots and strip off the bottom inch or so of "leaves" they root easily in a glass of water on a windowsill and give you loadsa plants to pot on
HTHYou never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0 -

thanks dd bought me herb pots for xmas so these are perfect! basil is very easy to grow. every year i buy the cheapest Wilkinson seed and sprinkle it over compost in a largish pot and have basil for ages.0 -
I hate when people say basil is easy to grow as I can't grow basil to save my life! I've tried different seeds, buying a plant, and they either just don't grow (90% of the seeds) or wither, or go floppy, or get a massive infestation of tiny white flies. Everything else on the kitchen windowsill is happy, I don't understand it!
Thanks for the tip on rooting mint though, I'm going to nick a bit of my mum's and try that rather than buy some!0 -
£3.99 for 5 plug plants
That's shockingly expensive - you can get 5 packs of seed for £2 in Wilko. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -

Too wet. Basil likes it dry.
Water from the bottom and what's left after 30 mins, tip away. Never ever water plants indoors from the top.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
Basil should only be watered in the mornings HTH0

Thanks, I shall try watering from the bottom in the morning in future!0

These are good for those like me who have trouble with growing from seeds sometimes , easier and already established , have tried growing herbs etc from seed in the past and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't , so this is more of a guaranteed results offer @ 80p each I still think its not too bad!
;)
10 plugs for £21.99 + £4.95 delivery! ... Now THATS

HTH
Even better :money: when you get the supermarket herb pots reduced! I got some chive & mint pots reduced to 29p each and will be separating and potting up into larger pots and planting in garden later.
