  • Yes i have been using free20quid and many of the surveys and money making things that you sign up to are never credited to your account
    even if you reply to their help centre and they never get back or reply to you anyway.
    Their crap
  • This morning decided to get rid of a few CDs. Decided to check their resale value (thinking of advice on this site!) and went on MusicMagpie. Their offers didn't amount to much (so CDs off to Oxfam), but I noticed a 'Freebies' section. One of the links was for productesting.co.uk, and I thought 'why not?' From the off it looked suspicious - they wanted iPad 3 testers! Pretty far fetched. Started the sign up process and after many many pages of various incentives to sign up for bingo, casino and advice sites I reached a page offering me £20 in vouchers - the link took me to the 20quid site. Theres plenty of high street names on there, inc. Santander, ASDA and Viking. but then again theres no saying those companies are aware* their offers are being shown on 20quid. And a quick look at how to spend or get my £20 brought up nothing.
    Think I'll steer clear of this, will let you know if an iPad turns up!

    * And being cynical, care!

    has anyone actually had any money out of these people, my balance is stuck on 90.56p and i am no longer getting the cashback off purchases, what a surprise seen as you need to get to 100.00 to cash out

    Just stumbled across this thread. Just to consolidate and clarify a few questions/issues raised. I also signed up, on reflection rather naively!!, on the premise the free 20 quid would be made available to me fairly sharpish. When you complete the account setup you find out that there is a £100 minimum withdrawal.

    First thing of note... it is a standard cashback site, like quidco or topcashback, but I found most of the offers weren't as good. Clearly the free £20 is funded by their larger margins on the sign up commissions they're receiving ;)

    As mentioned by someone else, there are a host of bingo/casino sites offering cashback exceeding the minimum spend. These were how I bolstered my cashback over the £100 mark. £5-£15 deposit returned £15-£50 cashback.
    I think I spent £35 on deposits and received £112.50 cashback. In addition, I also won around £74 playing my deposit money on the casino sites. I also got sign up bonuses too so was able to enjoy some free gambling :D

    When it came to all my funds being tracked and received on the site, my payment came through fine with no hiccups.

    SO, in summary.... I ended up over £150 up :beer:

    I'm sure there are people out there with negative experiences.... but that's how I got on. I hope it helps!

    Clearly there are a couple of points to consider;
    • Whenever using cashback sites, there's always an element of risk. MSE has always preached that warning
    • Like any other cashback site, tracking speeds vary so don't hedge your last £10 on a deposit if you can't do without it!
    • If you go the casino/bingo routes, don't exceed your deposit! If you do, don't spend what you can't afford!
    • Always check the minimum withdrawal on casino/bingo sites so you don't get disappointed after a lucky win!

    thats exactly how i do it and is the best way to do it. im almost at £100 now i got 1 on hold which will be released shortly. i hate it when people moan about this sort of site because end of the day its a cashback site which means you spend money and you get money back simple as that.

    so to all you wingers stop complaining if your going to be tight and not spend a little money then go elsewhere. £100 is achievable, granted its quite high but when you get that money its a fair bit of money and you can spend it to treat yourself or something.

    as for the guy above well done you im glad you got a payment it shows this site does actually work theres just people on the internet who want things to be very easy. think of it another way if you were buying things and you got no cashback your getting nothing but if you use a site like this atleast you will get a good chunk of money paid out

    there is a downside some transactions take a while to validate, i was waiting for 1 to validate for a long time, it eventually got validated and im now in the next payment cycle.

    i will post back here once i receive the funds
  • Yeah not going for this site at all after everyone's posts, hope others steered clear of it - I have had nothing but blooming 100+ spam email a day and also PPI claim spam text messages every single day since signing up for this site and I reckon it must be linked.

    I use topcashback already and find it really good so I am just going to stick with Topcashback and get away from free20quid.com as fast as possible!!!!

    Thanks all for being so helpful - do also agree with what others have said about new posters - I don't post that often myself but am always wary of the poster with less than ten posts ranting about how apparently great a website/product/scam in disguise is....not buying that lol
